Media Network — Est. 2010
We're Samuel and Audrey. We met in South Korea while teaching English — connected, as it happens, through a link exchange between our two travel blogs. That was 2011. It escalated, as these things do, into a relationship, a marriage, and a shared life built almost entirely around travel, food and an ever-growing list of places we want to go back to.
For most of the 2010s, we were budget backpackers — fast-moving, always somewhere new, Southeast Asia one month and South America the next. We covered 75+ countries together, built two flagship YouTube channels to nearly a million combined subscribers, and somewhere along the way crossed 250 million views. Over time, our style changed. We slowed down. We started going deeper instead of wider, spending more time in fewer places, hunting out small towns that don't often make the highlight reels. That instinct hasn't changed. It's just gotten more intentional.
In Canada, that means BC and Alberta road trips — Fernie, Cranbrook, the kind of frontier towns and mountain communities most people drive through without stopping. We stop. We stay. We find the best local coffee and the trail no one bothered to put on a map. That's our version of a Canadian summer.
In Argentina, it means Project 23 — It's our mission to document every single one of the country's 23 provinces. This isn't a content strategy. Audrey grew up here, in the Sierras de Córdoba, climbing trees and swimming in creeks as a kid. She's been backpacking the length of the country since she was young. She knows how Argentina actually works — the logistics, the Blue Dollar, the bus routes, the places locals actually go. Project 23 is her way of doing the whole thing properly, on the record, with the depth it deserves. And if you're wondering where we spend a disproportionate amount of our time and camera storage — it's Patagonia. We keep going back. We probably always will.
We currently split our time between South Alberta (May–October) and the Sierras de Córdoba (November–April), where we're in the middle of restoring Audrey's family hotel property — a three-generation project that's as chaotic and rewarding as it sounds. We're pouring concrete, navigating Argentine bureaucracy, and somehow still filming travel videos in between.
We also have a 19-month-old daughter, Aurelia, who has already been on flights, cruises, and overnight buses across Canada, the US, Argentina, and Peru. She is, by all accounts, a natural. Traveling with her has changed us in the best way — slower pace, more playgrounds, snacks elevated to a full logistics category. We wouldn't trade it.
Samuel also runs Picture Perfect Portfolios, where he writes about expanded canvas portfolios, return stacking, managed futures, and capital-efficient asset allocation. It's a genuine obsession — he was tracking hockey card stats before he knew what a spreadsheet was — but it comes after the travel, the renovation, and the family. Always.
